Our Partners
The ‘Kel Strong’ Mabatah Foundation has partnered with TIRR Memorial Hermann Rehabilitation where our scholarship recipients receive therapy treatment and/or services. Our partnership began at the beginning of 2020 and they have been a great partner for our foundation. TIRR Memorial Hermann is recognized as one of America’s best rehabilitation hospitals year after year, particularly by offering the best physical rehabilitation services to patients following a traumatic brain injury and/or other neurological injuries and illnesses that patients experience. Indeed, TIRR Memorial Hermann’s services were instrumental in our founder’s miraculous recovery that is still on going.
In addition to partnering with TIRR Memorial Hermann Rehabilitation, The ‘Kel Strong’ Mabatah Foundation has also partnered with The Memorial Hermann Foundation which was instrumental in establishing The ‘Kel Strong’ Scholarship with TIRR Memorial Hermann Rehabilitation. Our partnership began in the summer of 2019 before Kel officially launched his foundation in January 2020. Our pool of applicants for The ‘Kel Strong’ Scholarship includes individuals who represent the same qualities as Kel, including but not limited to perseverance, hard work, faith, and determination that he has displayed throughout his recovery.
Since the establishment of The ‘Kel Strong’ Mabatah Foundation in January 2020, we have raised and awarded over $100,000 to survivors of traumatic brain injuries to support their recovery journeys. These scholarship awards would not be possible without the support and generosity of our donor network.
